  ...any chance you can set up or hang a mirror to reflect the window's natural light into the room? A bright lamp, posters or a colorful lightweight fabric would help a lot. A plant near the window and bright, light, patterned or textured cover for the bed/pillowcases. For programming ,apart from tutorials the thing that helps best is practice , If you want to practice then I recommend hackerrank.com to test your understanding of programming concepts.
