   Such a helpful tool

   Smokeping used to be one of my favourity tools when I was working as a SysAdmin long time ago. It's offers such a clever way of presenting the data, that it is super easy to identify any issues.

   I still wonder why modern tools haven't adopted this ingenious technique.

  Hmm... It does not take much packet loss to slow tcp down at that rate. A better test would run longer than waveform, like the flent.org tcp_ndown test. Source: almost 2 years ago

• Loaded latency with fast.com?

  Also most of our web based tests do not last long enough to show the full extent of the problem. Waveform, while pretty good, doesn't test up and down simultaneously, nor does it last long enough.
