Smartcar API - An API for cars to locate, get fuel tank, battery levels, odometer, unlock/lock doors, etc. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Mobile Charging an EV Fleet
Here's an example vendor of fleet management software but they say that they don't support Genesis yet. And I can't find any public info about them offering an API. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I drove my ID.4 from northern Germany to Spain and back - How it went
ABRP with a premium subscription also has the ability to pull data over the cloud. It seems that they have recently partnered with Smartcar to provide the data. At least I have now a new option for live data that seems to work just fine. Required my "weConnect ID" credentials and is now pulling SoC from there. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Working on an EV Battery Health report for used EV buyers
Thanks, yes, we're familiar with Recurrent. They get their data from telematics systems (specifically from SmartCar - https://smartcar.com/ ). They get 4 battery and charging datapoints - SOC, range, battery capacity, and charging status. I think they do a good job of displaying the data - Tessie and TeslaFi also do similar things - but none of them have the level of data of scanmytesla.com where you get brick... • How Many EV Charging Stations Does the US Need to Replace Gas Stations?
The above poster said it would take hours each charge of a few hundred km. You're acknowledging it only takes 31 minutes for a few hundred km charge but you're saying that's worse? Here's a similar route in an ID.3. https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=13a0bcb2-9052-405f-ac27-9b8d38bd01fe Average charging wait time on this trip is a bit under 22min. For almost 12 hours of driving it... - Source: Hacker News / 18 days ago
  • Tesla Model Y: My 6 months impressions
It's actually a 915km trip ending up in the French Alps during winter time, so it's more taxing on the battery, and I need some juice left on arrival (30%) You can test it out yourself on ABRP [0]. My trip goes from Lier, Belgium to Les Saisies, France. With "quickest arrival" setting, ABRP does 4 stops with a total charging time of 1h25min (and 8h29 driving). The stops are 28, 18, 18 and 22 minutes respectively.... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • What Happened to EVs?
Https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=f10ce8fe-c1b7-4ade-9c5e-bc564189a799 22h of driving, of which 2h38m for rest&charging Seems totally reasonable to me. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • Tesla Model Y range estimate reduced by 6%, becoming more realistic
    > With ICE I don't have to worry about any of that. You don't do that with EVs that nav takes all of that into account. The only valid issue are the poorly maintained Electrify America chargers on non Tesla EV's. But that about to change in the U.S. Since pretty much everyone is adopting NACS/SAE J340 Standard. Which will make them compatible with Tesla Superchargers. Apps like ABRP also exist that is compatible... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • What Happened to EVs?
There is a general drought of Tesla SCs in Queensland / NE Australia, so ABRP can't find a suitable route only using the SC network. Otherwise a scenario for the Lucid Air Dream Edition has it charging 6 times for a total of 4h12m (in "great" conditions, though): https://abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=c34a381b-83fc-4bd5-a6d9-2dd86fffc60c. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
