In the quick search I learned about Ssh cert authority which looks very manual and also like a dead project Smallstep's step-ca who put together very nice article about how to begin certificate authority process Netflix' BLESS is AWS only Cashier which also looks quite ok. Check out Amazon certificate manager (ACM) . Essentially, you can have free public certificates for use with Amazon services with auto renewal. You don't have to use route 53 as your registrar but you do have to prove domain ownership in order to get certificates. Source: about 1 year ago
