Skrooge Reviews

My favorite open source tools for personal finance
Skrooge is open source and available for download and installation on Linux and BSD. It's also available on Windows and MacOS. You can import accounts from many sources including AFB120, QIF, CSV, MT940, OFX, and QFX. According to their website Skrooge can import transactions directly from all your banks' websites in one click. Skrooge provides excellent documentation, too.

3 great accounting apps you can use on Linux
Skrooge looks like Quicken with its dashboard-style graphical user interface. It is less like a bank ledger. The design is much easier to use. The structure of the tab gives Skrooge a more attractive look.
5 open source alternatives to Mint and Quicken for personal finance
Skrooge is another KDE-powered personal finance management application. It can import data in a wide variety of formats; the usual QIF and CSV, but also QFX and other formats used by banks, as well as KMY (KMyMoney), SQLITE, GNC (GnuCash), GSB (Grisbi), XHB (Homebank), MMB (Money Manager Ex), and MNY (Microsoft Money). Data can be exported in QIF and CSV, as well as KMY,...

Some research on glassdoor and payscale.com tell me that the pay for entry-level tech support will be around 23k. Sorry I can't be any more help than that. Source: 11 months ago
  • Cloud Computing or Cyber
You will likely get a better sense for what the wages look like at someplace like payscale.com, or perhaps glassdoor.com. Last time I checked a year or so ago, cloud computing engineers made 10-15% more than cybersecurity specialists, but it definitely depends on areas of specialization. No clue about the saturation of the market for cybersecurity, except the anecdotal evidence that a friend of mine who is a... Source: 11 months ago
  • Can I get job by learning CAD?
CAD also boosts career chances. CAD designers, drafters, engineers, and consultants can work. CAD professionals earn well. CAD designers in India earn between INR 3 LPA and INR 12 LPA, based on experience and expertise, according to payscale.com. Source: 11 months ago

  • My 8 months pregnant breadwinning wife built this company’s website and is being slowly replaced because she’s about to need extended leave
Your wife needs to apply for other jobs and go on a site like payscale.com to get a good sense of what she should realistically ask for based on her experience, certifications, and where you're both living. Or heck, just look at sites like indeed.com where there's a higher rate of job postings that have salary information. Source: about 1 year ago
