  I just set this up on https://sken.io. I put in Https://starlinkversions.com and highlighted the releases section and got an alert yesterday that a new version went out. I thought this would be helpful since falling behind on versions can be problematic. There are probably other services that do this. So far sken works great and didn't cost any money.   I agree with others in this thread that app-based is probably the way to go - especially if you're just building for one person. Just be sure she enables push notifications with the same settings as SMS. Others have mentioned Frontline (FYI: this product is end-of-sale), Crisp, and SpokePhone.
