It is fine to use a private email in this way. However, you might want to get your own domain just because it looks more professional. I have a domain set up through siteground.com that's my first initial and last name (e.g., bsmith for Bob Smith—obviously anonymized). My email address is [me@bsmith.com](mailto:me@bsmith.com). I needed an SSL cert for my db hosted on the same server. I was dicking w cloudflare at first but then I ended up just getting a different set of certs from sslforfree.com. That has been working. But that makes me wonder, if I should just get rid of cloudflare and use those certs directly on the server? Or do I need a cert for every port I want to access?
