Dokku might be a bit more popular than SiteGround. We know about 12 links to it since March 2021 and only 12 links to SiteGround. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Go to siteground.com. Buy hosting. Add your domain. Use their managed WordPress tools to install a new site. Source: 6 months ago
SiteGround is another one. I've heard it's fast and doesn't have much downtime. But some say when it's time to pay again, the price goes up a lot. Is it worth it? Source: 8 months ago
Don't use wordpress.com. Use wordpress.org. Buy a hosting package from siteground.com and you'll have a super easy one-click install without having to pay for a bunch of WordPress features that are actually free. Source: 12 months ago
Red flag #1: There's no reason their domain should be in the To field or mine in the Reply-To field. Red flag #2: The email doesn't come from siteground.com Red flag #3: The From address misspells "postmaster" as "postmassr" Red flag #4: The aggressive tone - they're going to delete my domain in 48 hours? Please. Red flag #5: Weird English. "In the event of non-payment or ignorance." Red flag #6: The link... Source: over 1 year ago
It is fine to use a private email in this way. However, you might want to get your own domain just because it looks more professional. I have a domain set up through siteground.com that's my first initial and last name (e.g., bsmith for Bob Smith—obviously anonymized). My email address is [me@bsmith.com](mailto:me@bsmith.com). It's clean, clear, short, and I retain control over the domain and server. Source: over 1 year ago

Other interesting projects to also follow: * Caprover * Dokku. Source: almost 2 years ago
If I could make a recommendation, it would be to give Dokku a try. (Disclaimer: not affiliated, but like the project so much I sponsor it. My opinions are biased towards it.). Source: almost 2 years ago
My next favorite option is to host on a DigitalOcean VM. You can use Dokku to get your own mini-Heroku PaaS, or manage the VM yourself (following Microsoft's documentation). You can get a $100 60-day credit from a referral link - A good way to get started. Source: about 2 years ago
