SimpliSafe VS Canary

Not HomeKit compatible and it contains some stuff you don't want, but there's an all in one smoke / CO camera/mic/speaker with integrated siren product called "Canary" that's about the size of a 16 oz energy drink can that might be a potential once in a while away for the weekend solution. https://canary.is.
