Oh wow I did something very similar, just dumber. https://shopbysub.com I have a raspberry pi gathering Reddit comments with an Amazon link in them every hour, then exposing them on Shop By Sub categorized by subreddit, sorted by upvotes. Same with OP I put my Amazon referral link in there. It's been decently well-received by Reddit, but I have a hard time getting recurring users. In fact, I liked Reddit so much as a recommendation engine, that I built https://shopbysub.com so folks can browse Amazon product recommendations by subreddit with context and sorting and stuff. e.g. I've been gardening lately and came across a moisture meter on https://shopbysub.com/r/gardening that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's been instrumental to help my overwatering problem. Source: about 2 years ago
I created a site (https://shopbysub.com) that kind of does this. You can browse amazon products that have been linked by redditors in comments by subreddit - e.g. https://www.shopbysub.com/flashlight. Source: almost 3 years ago
I did a thing to somewhat help mitigate this problem. I made https://shopbysub.com which groups Amazon products left in reddit comments by subreddit, and makes them sortable by amount of upvotes. So you can go to e.g. https://shopbysub.com/r/BuyItForLife and see all the amazon products more or less recommended by redditors. Source: about 3 years ago

Yes, there's Home Assistant that can work completely off-line. You can find multitude tutorials on youtube on how to set it up, even using cheap solutions like Raspberry PI. Source: about 1 year ago
I'm going to suggest- you ever heard of Home Assistant? It's a really useful home automation tool you could integrate with weather and clock on a dashboard. As well, you could use it to control smart devices. Source: about 1 year ago
As for the "what is playing" detection on my google minis. This is done with "https://home-assistant.io/". Source: over 1 year ago
