I would highly recommend adding (a few!) badges to any repository that you plan on publishing. You can get some great badges from https://shields.io/ along with the info on how to actually generate them. If your repository is public, this should be easy enough. Could someone explain what I'm looking at? I think this is from `https://statcounter.com/` (?), but that site doesn't load for me at the moment, and there's no readme or description on that (1 star) repo, or its associated account.
