I rely mostly on Microsoft Academic Search. I find an article I need and then usually Google the exact title followed by filetype:pdf. For example: "Toward creating a fairer ranking in search engine results" filetype:pdf. Other services that are helpful from a discovery standpoint include ResearchGate, Academia.edu, and semanticscholar.org. Source: almost 3 years ago

I am in a school district that uses Google for everything and it makes sense. What other product makes it as easy as Google For Education? The Admins have complete control over the Chromebooks and all the Google products. They download extensions that monitors and records our screens and locks it so we can't get into developer mode and dual boot Linux (I've tried). From the school's perspective this is amazing and...
