Are you cool with JS frameworks? If so, you can use a higher level of abstraction that takes care of the CSS for you. If you just want to mock something up, you can use a pre-built UI system / component framework and just put together UIs declaratively, without having to worry about the underlying CSS or HTML at all. A lot of proof-of-concept and MVP projects start out with a number of libraries meant to be temporary. Maybe the app was using Chakra UI for its modal and custom buttons, while the rest of the imported library is just dead weight. Nice! It's great to have more open source platforms in the CRM space. This feels a lot like Directus [0] except that the latter is a more general data platform you build upon. They have a 100 Apps in 100 hours playlist where they build sample apps on top on Directus, even a simple CRM [1].
