Ok I'm not Raph but, FWIW, my 3d sculpting app is written using SwiftUI (https://sculptura.app), which is not a view around a database (in fact it was previously UIKit... SwiftUI is so much better). I have quite many illustrated pdfs and digital magazines. So I am considering buying a VR headset to read them. Recently I found this https://supermedium.com/ I found the team were quite active in development until Sep 2020. After that, they don't post anything else including twitter posts.
