Based on my research (via salary.com & similar sites), a Financial Analyst in my area averages around $65k (50th percentile). And that is "entry level". So I am already a bit behind. I'd also add that I wish I had started building an audience earlier. It's invaluable to have a sounding board as well as people to get any new products in front of. At the time it felt too time-consuming, but now with tools like GummySearch for Reddit, Aware for LinkedIn, and an understanding of lists and targeting on Twitter, it really doesn't have to take long to create at least some semblance of an audience.
