  • A full-stack serverless application with AssemblyLift and Next.js
The counter function is written in Ruby. Since Ruby is an interpreted language, AssemblyLift deploys a customized Ruby 3.1 interpreter compiled to WebAssembly, which executes the function handler. Since the interpreter is somewhat large, the cold-start time of a Ruby function tends to be larger than that of a Rust function. Maybe try Bitsbox? It teaches Javascript by making games. They can share the games with their friends, and it also leaves a lot of room for them to modify the games using what they learned. It teaches a lot of programming skills that are useful later. There is also Google's CS First, that's free and has a lot of different projects. It even has themes like games, sports, arts and stories so it might appeal to more... Source: almost 3 years ago
