With only a few concepts (views, actions, effects, and subscriptions) Hyperapp is easy to learn and get going. Its declarative API is easy to read and fun to write and build purely functional, feature-rich, browser-based apps using idiomatic JavaScript. Hyperapp is an ultra-lightweight Virtual DOM, highly-optimized diff algorithm, and state management library obsessed with minimalism.

Comparing Vue.js to new JavaScript frameworks
Instead of the MVVM pattern that Vue uses, Riot uses the Model-View-Presenter (MVP) pattern. The model and the view work similarly to Vue’s model and view, but, in place of the view model layer, Riot uses a presenter layer to transfer data from the model to the view and vice versa.
