At first glance this looks like software that’s a bit dated and nothing special, but try to use it just once and tell me if you don’t agree it’s freaking awesome when do you want to create an expression or get a feel for exactly how it’s working. For your examples given, I use Hemingway Editor to cut down on my adverbs. Adverbs aren't bad, but I want a stronger punch with my writing and cutting down on adverbs helps (for me). It forces me to expand on the action. Passive voice is one I need to work on, personally. Cut them down, along with adverbs, I think, helps your writing a great deal. Source: 10 months ago
