As someone that enjoys trying to make up inversions on the spot, and laments that chord charts only ever seem to acknowledge open chords and E/A-shape barres, that command line tool looks fantastic. Is it available to download anywhere? (P.S. I can't work out the tuning in the signature you posted, but it looks like another user posting above made a tool[1] that provides a fingering -> chord name solver?) I learned the basic via justinguitar.com He has a excellent beginner course. Its just to learn the chords, a little strumming and can really gets you going. And it was fun! Go to JustinGuitar.com, create an account and follow the free beginner course. Take your time. Once you know a few chords, find some easier songs you like, and learn them. YouTube has lessons for a lot of popular songs. Source: 5 months ago
