I've seen some other alternatives such as raddle where independent users are trying to recreate the Reddit experience with a new platform (yet it doesn't seem to use the same Karma System, make of that what you will) but I'm still curious to see where everyone is going if large parts of Reddit disappear after July 1st... To be fair, the "whole internet" was very different in the early 2000s. This was before social media was really a thing, before internet connection was even a thing for many people. A stream like that would have meant that maybe a few dozen or hundred people got to see you and maybe a portion of your clip ended up on ebaumsworld.com.
