Build A Great Status Page in 15 Minutes With No Budget
None of them come cheap; Statuspage’s smallest plan (which doesn’t include SMS notifications) comes in at USD 348/year; Status.io’s Basic plan (again, no SMS notifications, and this time even without HTTPS encryption) is available for no less than USD 948/year. I’m sure this pricing makes perfect sense for VC-backed Silicon Valley companies — but not for bootstrapped...

  • r/haskell will remain read-only
I rely on RSS to follow posts to such sites. This one does not advertise an RSS feed in the page metadata, but one seems to be available at https://kbin.social/rss?magazine=haskell. This feed does not validate, but it works in my feed reader (QuiteRSS, which I switched to specifically because Thunderbird refused to parse invalid feeds that I wanted to follow). • Podcasts/RSS feeds privacy
I use an offline feed reader (QuiteRSS on desktop and Feeder on Android, and both of them aren't synced) - so whatever tracking happens is due to the links themselves. On desktop I use Pure URL to strip tracking parameters from all links. Haven't found anything that actually works for Iceraven on Android. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • HELP! All I did was refresh my RSS feeds and YouTube thinks my IP Address is a bot. So now I can't RSS anymore.
So this used to be a problem before and I "solved it" by reducing the Number of requests in QuiteRSS down to 2. But considering I had 1000s of channels that I keep track of, it became painfully slow. But it did "solve" the problem. So I stuck with it. Source: over 2 years ago

  • ConnectWise SSO down?
Yup and the things they don't "invent", like the status page from status.io, it's poorly implemented. It took so long to get this basic page up with a complete garbage process. Source: about 1 year ago
