  • What is a piece of software that you need but doesn't exist?
Try QTTabbar. Adds a lot of features to windows explorer including tabs (disable tab bar if using with windows 11 with native tabs in explorer) After installation enable the toolbars from View -> Options (or use the enabler app on windows 11). Source: 6 months ago
  • Enabling a feature in File explorer
False. It is not the only software, I use Qttabbar since Windows 7 and thanks to it I have tabs that I can customize, and they are more useful than the native tabs. Source: over 1 year ago
  • This is a joke? we have icons for Paint in dark theme, but we don't have any option to activate a dark theme in Paint? Really? 🤨 The icons for Paint in dark theme on the left and in light theme on the right, as they can be found in the Paint installation folder.
About tabs, since Windows 7 I use tabs in the file explorer thanks to Qttabbar. Qttabbar tabs are customizable and more useful than native tabs. I had to use vivetool to permanently disable native tabs, and instead I use Qttabbar tabs. You can download tab skins within Qttabbar or you can create your own tabs. The tabs you have seen in the image were made by me based on Edge's new rounded tab design, as you can... Source: over 1 year ago

  • Stripe Terminal iOS & Android SDK
Hey, I'm creating a POS system and want to integrate Stripe Terminal for accepting in-person payments. I need to have offline capabilities so the server-driven integration is no option sadly. So I'll need to use their iOS & Android SDK's. Can anyone help me with this? Or tell me how to integrate two SDK's into a flutter app? (I'll probably be using the BBPOS WisePad 3). • Gesture-based payments
Finally, using gestures solely would only work if a customer is part of a program that already possesses their credit card details. If a gesture is not used as a confirmation input but as the payment method itself, we need some way to match payment details to this gesture and this user. For example, let’s imagine that a customer wants to pay with gestures that they trained on their smartwatch. We could imagine a... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Making a point of sale app
The short answer here is: there's companies which will provide you a cloud API to interact with a card reader they provide, and that's the least awful way to use one. These include Stripe (https://stripe.com/terminal), Square (https://squareup.com/us/en), SumUp (https://sumup.com/), and going towards the enterprise end, things like Adyen (https://www.adyen.com/pos-payments). • Can I integrate Stripe terminal with my POS system?
We'd love to have you! Make your way to stripe.com/terminal and go through the docs. There's a nice sample that uses a simulator to show you how to get it done. Source: over 2 years ago
