Questions and Answers

As answered by people managing Qrvey and Weather Underground.

How would you describe your primary audience?

Qrvey's answer

Product Leaders that include Product Management and Engineering Teams and CEO/CTO/CPOs of B2B SaaS Companies

What makes your product unique?

Qrvey's answer

Qrvey takes a different approach to embedded analytics. Instead of focusing almost completely on the front end, we know that any analytics function starts with data.

Qrvey includes a full-featured data lake powered by Elasticsearch, not a basic relational caching layer. Furthermore, by including a data lake, the cost to scale out is much less than traditional data warehouses.

For the user-facing components of the platform, Qrvey offers more embedded components and APIs to personalize the experience beyond static dashboards. Qrvey offers:

  • Everything is a JS embed, no iFrames
  • Dashboards and builders
  • Dataset creation for individual users
  • No-code workflow automation
  • Full white-labeling and CSS support

All of this is backed by a semantic layer that makes integrating Qrvey into the security model of SaaS applications simple.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Qrvey's answer

Customers choose Qrvey for the following reasons:

  • In-house engineering teams spend less time developing analytics features
  • Infrastructure costs are significantly less
  • Engineering teams get JS embeds and a richer API suite than anyone else
  • Fully customizable to blend in seamlessly with the parent SaaS application

  • (Mac) Adguard for Safari vs Firefox Extension - same filter lists, different results
This is driving me nuts and not sure how to deal with it. As noted using Adguard for Safari and Firefox and selected the same options/filter lists and getting different filter results. This is on the "wundermap" on wunderground.com. For example this page: https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap?lat=40.731&lon=-73.987&zoom=8&radar=1&wxstn=0. Source: 9 months ago
  • What to do on Rainy Days
Use wunderground.com. It's like 21% at the highest (but showing 5% in Goleta). There isn't an actual NWS forecasting out this way, so they are extrapolating. Not to mention that means 5-20% of the area will see precipitation, which could include areas in that you don't care about (eg. Up in the mountains). Source: about 1 year ago
  • Repeat yesterday today and copy and paste
Why does the Storm Prediction Center have us in a marginal risk for tomorrow (Sat.?) The hourly forecast on weather.com and wunderground.com only show possible thunderstorms at 5 a.m. Sat. Morning but the text says "A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible" Sat. night. When is the time frame for the marginal risk the Storm Prediction Center is talking about? Trying to plan my Saturday, thanks. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Small Weather Station
A good old fashioned barometer is your time tested best bet. When it's in the gutter, tie your mother down... Otherwise, I suggest wunderground.com. Type in your zip code, then select 10 day forecast. You can drag the slider hour by hour. And it's usually pretty darn accurate. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Grappling between booking venue in March for cheaper vs a nicer month at a higher price. East Tennessee location.
Oooh, that's a great idea to visit this March so you can get a feel for it! I also should have mentioned that wunderground.com is the only place I've found that has the historical weather data. :/. Source: over 1 year ago
