Qiqqa Reviews

  1. The best research tool

Qiqqa is by far the strongest solution for research and managing pdf's. Zotero, named as a comparison is weak as it does not allow pdf;s to be loaded into its interface - you need to use a pdf reader, which defeats its whole purpose. With Qiqqa documents in a library can be searched together. It has excellent maps of your libraries. It is not prefect, having a few glitches, but still is the only one of its kind.

    👍 Pros:    Excellent ocr and search|Multiple libraries|Search within a library|Still supported
👎 Cons:    Can be a bit glitchy|Can slow down of stop responding|Appears to need a lot of memory|Support can be a bit slow / technical

It's cross platform, with ios and android apps too. Seems like it's a passion project by a single developer. I've been extremely happy with all of its features. I use its whiteboard feature for collaboration, and I've found it to be lag free and a much... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Cool Desktops Don’t Change
I totally agree with you. One Note is fantastic and I would like to use it but not being able to open the notes in linux makes me avoid it. Do you know if there is a way of opening One Note notes in Linux without using the webapp? (I don't even need to edit them!) In the meantime, I'm using stylyslab write [0] which uses svgz and is a good replacement for OneNote and a compromise I'm willing to make to not be... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • Libre Office Draw supports editing PDFS!
I've personally found write by styluslabs to have better pen input than xournal++ (using surface pen on surface go). Source: over 2 years ago
