14 Alternative File Managers To Replace Windows 10 File Explorer
It may not have many extra tools, but it offers 4 windows to open folders and manage them. Q-Dir supports basic file moving commands and it’s completely free too. If you prefer quad-windows, then it’s worth checking out.

Best file manager: a faster, more convenient way to transfer files
It's a simple premise executed without any extraneous clutter, though Q-Dir's navigation icons are absolutely tiny on a high-resolution screen. It sounds like a minor quibble, but it's a major drawback and one the developer seems to be aware of; there's a link to a screen magnifier at the top right.

  • Praise for DesktopOK's AltDrag for Windows
Finally installed DesktopOK by SoftwareOK.com. It's a bit of a Swiss Army Knife application. It has a "Tools" setting to enable an Alt+MouseDrag to move and/or resize any window by using a precedence key + mouse movement. For my purposes, this ability should be part of the Windows experience out of the box. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Tried to update and shut down my PC and now I get this. What's the deal?
It comes in either a bootable ISO or an EFI file. I'd recommend putting Ventoy on a flash drive and loading either the EFI file (listed as "Binary Files" on the page) or "Linux ISO w/ Grub" versions from that. This will wipe the flash drive, but you can just drag and drop ISOs or whatever into a folder and boot them without something like Rufus or Etcher. It's quite nice to have on hand either way for things like... Source: 6 months ago
  • Got some questions about system stability
I've been having some weird issues such as Discord restarting itself and browser tabs crashing randomly. Originally I thought I was having some issue with Electron related programs, but the more I Google the more I see "test the ram" so I finally did. For context, my hesitation on testing ram is I haven't had a game crash or act weird once, outside of normal Linux things (Pop!_OS), it's just been browsers and... Source: 6 months ago

  • Desperately need help, frequent program crashes
What I would do is create a bootable thumbdrive with Memtest86+ installed. You can read about it and find the download link at (https://memtest.org) . What you'll be downloading is the program to install memtest86+ on a thumbdrive. Source: 12 months ago
