You could try using a percentage for the width instead of a number. That way, it'll stretch to be a percentage of the screen size (or whatever container it's in) instead of the same amount of pixels on every screen. By the way, you can use this site http://whatismyscreenresolution.net/multi-screen-test to test how your site looks on various screen sizes.
