Prompt-tower simplifies and speeds-up how prompts with multiple code blocks are written. It's often a pain jumping between files, classes, functions, etc and copying/pasting everything, wrapping and annotating the blocks, and finally sending the prompt off for generation. After seeing filekitty [1], I felt inspired to build my version of the idea... Which is a vscode extension that fits better in a developer's... - Source: Hacker News / about 17 hours ago
Hey HN, we're thrilled to announce the alpha launch of Traycer, our new AI-driven code reviewer that works in the background as you code. One of the first things we did when GPT-4 became available was talk to our Azure rep and get access to the OpenAI models that they'd partnered with Microsoft to host in Azure. Now, we have our own private, not-datamined (so they claim, contractually) API endpoint and we use an OpenAI integration in VS Code[1] to connect to, allowing anyone in the company to use it to help them code. I also spun up an internal chat... - Source: Hacker News / 12 days ago
Sure I'd be happy to check it out, my email's in my profile (or Github/website). There are some tradeoffs w/ WebAssembly as well (not sharing the same memory as JS/TS is the biggest one) and debugging can be a bit tough as well though now there's a good VSCode plugin for it [0]. Another part of the reason I also moved back to C++ -> Wasm was for the performance improvement from Wasm vs. JS/TS, but the cross... - Source: Hacker News / 13 days ago

Even light-weight daemons like uMurmur [1] or devzat ssh-chat can be handy in a time of need if a quorum know to fall back to it. Self hosted tools are also... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Did not know it was possible to use such ports as not-root. Anyway here is a direct link to how you can host your own devzat server: https://github.com/quackduck/devzat#want-to-host-your-own-in... good luck, OP! - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
One method could be a Linux laptop and using SSH to talk over devzat [1] They should generate a site-specific ssh key to talk to your devzat instance. The developer is here on HN. Configure devzat to listen on port 443. To do this as a non-root account use "setcap cap_net_bind_service=+ep /path/to/devzat" [1] - https://github.com/quackduck/devzat. - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
The go ssh packages are a popular choice: https://github.com/shazow/ssh-chat https://github.com/quackduck/devzat There's also a assembly library: https://2ton.com.au/sshtalk/ And for rust there's trush, and for python paramiko as mentioned. > expose a TUI/cli-app over ssh without actually caring about securing OpenSSH If you already have an app, see maybe:... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
