Have you done pramp.com? I really really recommend it, even if you found a job. You can ask people to be brutally honest before you start and start collecting feedback for both technical and non technical skills. My company instituted Bonusly and honestly its been great to have a system similar to what you are talking about. A way to give people 5-10 credits of recognition publicly so that it can add up to a $10 gift card after 10-20 "gifts" so far has been a great way to encourage each other to be helpful.
