I have the same issue. Sort of. Once I start checking any social media, I go down a rabbit hole of hours spent on various platforms. The one thing that has helped me is a timer, as odd as it sounds. I try to only do social media on my laptop and not my phone. That helps. And then on my laptop I use the free desktop app Pomy. WindowServer leaks for when using an external 4k monitor, but with scaled resolution it is going even faster requiring two reboots a day. Full 4k is too small for me, so now I am trying Resolutionator Https://manytricks.com/resolutionator/ To select a scaled resolution.
