  1. Mimo The Minimalistic looking app

been using mimo for a time and finished Python course as a noob, i can say it's a good experience since they made the course like having a bike with third wheel which is great for home learners, your brain not ready to debug something you don't know, that stage also is tought as a last lesson, how to debug your program, my experience was all in all great, and this coming from me a Lazy Person :)

👍 Pros:    Easy to use|Solid learning method|Repetitive questions explaination|Constantly improving
    👎 Cons:    English language only

For sports, ESPN does have http://www.espn.com/nba/lite/scoreboard, but most of the links go back to the normal website. It may have been been more robust in the past, but I don't imagine anyone works on it anymore. It seems like the developer listed in the credits (http://www.espn.com/espn/lite/credits) last worked there in 2002!! So if you're looking for a sports alternative, https://plaintextsports.com (which I... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Web Push for Web Apps on iOS and iPadOS
A personal gripe with progressive web apps: they cache the website!! A lot of people have requested that I make a progressive web app for https://plaintextsports.com. I've looked into it, but it fundamentally doesn't work, because it caches the home page. My website doesn't load any data via JavaScript; it just relies on the HTML page updating every 30 seconds, so when the home page is cached, the website just... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Yahoo Sports app suddenly only showing "recent career" when viewing a player's profile, what the hell? This is the most mildly infuriating thing ever. What app do you guys use for boxscores and player stats?
For box scores nothing beats https://plaintextsports.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
