It's personal preference so I'm not commenting on it. If "file explorer" by your definition is a window with have multiple columns for displaying file hierarchy, file list of current working directory, and file preview, get Pathfinder (https://cocoatech.com/). If it's reliable then it probably isn't a resume problem and more of a location problem since I have my actual location with (open to remote and all timezones) indicated at the contact info section.
