I haven't used Ditto so I don't know how closely macOS clipboard managers compare to it, but there's certainly a fair number of programs for the Mac out there that sound similar to Ditto's own description, from the free, open source Maccy to the somewhat over-the-top $13 Pastebot. There are other utility programs that include similar functionality; personally, I'm using Alfred, a keyboard-driven launcher,... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Best Clipboard Managers for MacOS ? (working on Monterey)
Not what you’re asking for but I paid for pastebot a long time ago and it’s grand. My one request to them was “can you let me edit the clipping” and they haven’t done it yet. But, I installed Tot and I use that to paste into and edit the text. Magic for me was setting the global pop-up shortcut to CMD - . ( period ) ( which, for me, was the best thing about Raycast ). I also... - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago

  • Macbook for programming/coding
Pretty much a premium linux experience out of the box, also things like Quicklook make it easy to instantaneously view a ton of files without even opening apps from documents to media files. Especially helpful if you're going through documentation and typically there's a bunch of it in various formats. Without Quicklook, you would have to open a bunch of MS Office apps to view documentation that comes with large... Source: about 2 years ago
