If you do find a way to hide app menus you might consider using Paletro or a similar extension for an automation tool, I know Alfred has a workflow for it, I'm guessing Raycast, Launchbar and maybe even Keyboard Maestro do to. How is performance these days? I used to use it or an alternative workflow and there was always a few second lag when I activated the workflow in each respective app for the first time after rebooting. For #3, this is just a matter of practice. I got good at this by regularly doing this sight: https://typing.io/ and choosing a different programming language (don't worry if your not a programmer -- the point of this is the frequency of symbols you will have to type while practicing)...
