As a mini-blog, it is a nice alternative for Medium to publish and share information about programming.
However, the community and the organization are biased toward social justice (and they are open to it). You can read its Code of Conduct, it is so vague and politically leads (I prefer a term of service because it defines fair rules for everybody). So it alienates developers that we don't care about politics in pro of people that want to talk about any other topic such as sexuality, how women are unprivileged, and such. It even mandates to use inclusive language. Good grief.
My main complaint is the quality of the community. It is not StackOverflow (so we don't want to ask for an answer here), and most of the top topics are clickbait, such as "how to become a rockstar developer in ... days", "100 tips to become a better programmer" (and it doesn't even talk about programming).
Technically this "mini blog" site allows us to use markdown, and it is okay. However, the whole experience is really basic. Even the template is ugly.

Utilize Residential Proxies: Residential proxies come with the advantage of having whitelisted IPs tied to real devices, making them reliable for web scraping and anonymous browsing. Providers like Oxylabs, SOAX, and NetNut offer residential proxy services that can cater to your specific needs. Source: 7 months ago
To begin scraping data, you have to decide which platform data you want to scrap. While it is easy to scrap data, some platforms prevent access to scraping of it data and you will have to use a third-party tool like ZenRows or Oxylabs just to mention a few. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
Have you tried Oxylabs? They have both residential and datacenter proxies. But I’ve heard their speed is not that great, so do your research. Source: about 1 year ago
Just know that this is what they do as a side gig using their clients as endpoints. Source: over 1 year ago
Ok ended up just going with oxylabs.io. Couldn't figure it out. Source: over 1 year ago
As we saw in the last section, the url of this endpoint is https://dev.to/api/articles. We also know that we can specify how many results we'll get back for each page. The default is 30, but I don't think we need that many for this example. I think 5 is more than enough for us to take a look at. So let's make a simple fetch request to this endpoint passing the per_page query parameter with a value of 5. - Source: dev.to / 2 days ago
Also think about the Dev.to platform which allows developers to easily share on their topics. - Source: dev.to / 22 days ago
If you haven’t checked it out yet, dev.to has introduced First Computer Science Challenge in honor of Alan Turing. The challenge is to explain a computer science concept in 256 characters or less. - Source: dev.to / 8 days ago
I recently developed the initial version of Obsidian DEV Publish Plugin, a plugin that enables publishing Obsidian notes as articles on DEV. The first prototype was developed during a ~4 hour live stream. - Source: dev.to / 17 days ago
