Website shows rankings of the stable client while lazers ingame profile viewer shows the rank you achieved in the lazer client using the osu!lazer website. I recently had a lot of trouble accessing hulu on my laptop - I would be signed in and I could access my account settings, but hulu would automatically redirect to hulu.com/welcome.
