It's peculiar considering it works fine for most games (R6S, GTAV, LoL, Valorant) but it's these odd situations that makes just light browsing a huge pain. Cutting out the middleman in other types of transactions, such as real estate or event tickets, or anything else that's one-of-a-kind is one of the advantages.
