FiveM might be a bit more popular than OpenLayers. We know about 39 links to it since March 2021 and only 28 links to OpenLayers. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
You probably know this, but in Google Maps at least, you can use browser zoom (ctrl/cmd +/-) to change the size of labels without zooming into the actual map. ------ Speaking of maps, I got to work a fun zoom project a few years ago: https://map.fieldmuseum.org/ We used https://openlayers.org/ and thought long and hard about how to best handle zooming and variable levels of information density & visual hierarchy.... - Source: Hacker News / 21 days ago
In order to display the GeoJSON features on a map, we will use OpenLayers, which is a very powerful open-source mapping library that is also very simple to use. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago

For web maps I'd strongly recommend using OpenLayers. While it's less convenient to get started with compared to the alternatives it's also much more feature-complete and you'll likely hit a ceiling in terms of functionality much later than you would with the others. Source: 12 months ago
Tought this was about https://openlayers.org/, got confused for a moment. - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
For context, one of these is FiveM[0], which is very popular (and if anything, a lot better than the official Online in many ways.) [0]: https://fivem.net/. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
Alternatively, you could consider installing FiveM now that you’re on PC for GTA V. It’s a third-party multiplayer client that allows you to join all sorts of different servers that range from RP, to Freeroam, Deathmatch, etc. It’s pretty impressive in the fact that it allows for server hosts to implement literally anything, including mods for cars, graphics, maps, etc. Look into this more here: https://fivem.net/. It might not be official, but I'm pretty sure FiveM might have some servers with PVP disabled, or something like that. You can search for servers on FiveM here. Source: about 1 year ago

I've seen some servers for it on youtube creating full Zombie Survival modes. Some servers are RP, some are kinda like GTA Online Clones, others are something completely different. https://fivem.net/ and /r/FiveM. Source: over 1 year ago
