I was a nagios with nconf (long time not supported) die hard, however, I have recently switched to https://openitcockpit.io/ which has a great configuration web interface, it supports nagios plugins. With the newer, online work management tools that have project management features (ClickUp, Monday.com, etc.), several have free versions and you have the ability to create a custom field that you can use for the assignee, ignoring the built-in field that requires a licensed user or guest.
