OpenGL Extensions Viewer mentions (2)

  • help. i have tryed to update the drivers and my os but it still wont work
For that you'll want to download and open the OpenGL viewer. Click Summary on the left side, then look for where it says OpenGL, then Version. This will tell you the highest OpenGL version your GPU will support. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I thought gtx 1050 supported openGL 4.6?
GTX 1050 supports 4.6, but comes with 4.5. You could use OpenGL Extensions Viewer to check up to which version you have installed (https://realtech-vr.com/home/glview), then you could also try to install the 4.6 opengl drivers from here: https://developer.nvidia.com/opengl-driver, or check in nvidia control panel's 3D settings if your gtx 1050 is the opengl renderer by default. GtkStressTesting mentions (1)

  • P1/X1 Gen 4 (especially linux?) users - share your benchmark! (Not for vanity, for assessing whether a repaste makes sense)
Another option is to just install and run gtkStressTesting--same thing, but even easier: just click start, and share the frequency it sits at along with your ambient room temp. Source: almost 2 years ago
