There are usually a lot of repeated sentences in formal documents so memory bank-based translation tools really help to translate faster (you're being paid by translated page usually, so it's in your best interest to do it fast). If you're on Windows, LF Aligner is the one that worked the best for me, by far. You just have to follow the instructions: I convert the source docs to plain text (.txt), UTF-8 encoding, and make sure there are no spaces or special characters in your file names. When I had to align a very large document (Quebec's Civil Code) I tried wordast online, and another free online tool, and LF Aligner was the only one... Source: over 2 years ago
