Can you access any folders on your Windows drive? If not, you could maybe try reinstalling ntfs-3g. I believe this is responsible reading from/writing to nfts partitions. It should be installed on most modern distros, but maybe it's not installed on yours. Source: 12 months ago

The disk is likely failing. DO NOT attempt any write operations like assigning a letter or changing file ownership.
