I’ve been using the personal version of Nozbe for several years and extremely satisfied with the software. The founder (Michael Sliwinski) is a big fan of GTD and follows it methodically. I use Nozbe for this. I have some tasks that repeat daily, weekly or monthly, and which involved checklists. For example, every month I have a checklist that pop ups and tells me how to submit my tax return for my business or do a bank recon or my weekly review. I can also attach documents or screenshots to my tasks to make it easier. I’ve used it for about 5 years now. Very happy with it. Source: almost 2 years ago

Of course there is a wide spectrum from something like ‘nano’ to Microsoft’s Visual Studio (not VScode) On macOS, BBEdit has had SFTP since the late 1990s.
