  I would try zocdoc.com as a starting point. If you have health insurance, you can put in what company it's with so they will pull up providers in your network. If not, there's an option for that too. You can search based on the kind of doctor you need to see, and you can schedule the appointment through the website. Source: about 1 year ago

  Thank you to everyone for your comments. I just want to share that I found a psychiatrist on zocdoc.com that specializes in ADHD and works through the company Talkiatry. He is based locally to where I live. He's been practicing for 30-some years, has excellent reviews, and would be the one to actually treat me if I went with him.   I had good luck with zocdoc.com (no I don't work for them). Found a PCP appointment within two weeks. I initially tried a friend's doctor and they were like a 4 month wait. Source: over 1 year ago
