That said, depending on what capabilities you are looking for exactly, you'll find a number of possible alternatives—if you want math solvers, for example, you could look at Open Omnia, Symbolab, Photomath, or MS Math Solver... According to their site Photomath scans the equation, or it can be manually entered in their calculator function; and then demonstrates how to solve it as part of the programs function/service.
