His policy clearly stated that anyone who purchased in the last year would get a free upgrade, but when time came, and I asked for the upgrade, he told me (paraphrase) "No, I put too much effort into this release, you have to pay again", and it was already outrageously overpriced. I don't know what EasyList or uBlock are (i.e., I don't use those), but I got blocked by cnn.com as well. Firefox on Mac. Turns out it was the "I don't care about cookies" extension (automatically accept consent requests). Once I disabled that for cnn, it worked again. Source: 7 months ago
