What I liked about best about IMDb were the boards for old and obscure titles, away from the mainstream. When IMDb closed the boards, I tried a couple of the alternatives which carried over posts from the IMDb boards - moviechat.org and filmboards.com - but they never really took off so I gave up. At the time IMDb closed the boards, moviechat.org ported a bunch of threads over there and you can still search up any (old or new) movie, tv show or actor and chat on the specific boards. It's obviously not as busy as the IMDb boards used to be, but it's something. Source: 11 months ago
