2 handle CCTV via MotionEye (https://github.com/motioneye-project/motioneye) using some cheapy Wansview cameras (inside and out...originally to keep an eye on a new dog while we were working upstairs). 1 handles the UI of MotionEye, and is also used for various ad-hoc processes (e.g. SpotDL, Samba etc) where having an always-on machine is handy. Well that's exactly the thing. Atm I am using motionEYE, but I have 3 streams that have to run at full 2K resolution in order to get a clear jpeg. That is quite intensive for the cpu it runs on, so I was trying to find another option that uses the least amout of resources :). Source: over 2 years ago
