• Some notes on local-first development

  I built Mochi [0] from the ground up to be local first. The architecture is built around pouchdb for the local database which syncs to and from a remote couchdb database. It's been a challenge to implement and in hindsight I wonder if it was even worth it. Unfortunately neither of these technologies are very widely used any more (if they ever were).   Sorry for the possibly dumb questions. But then does .NET 5 have a "Model View Controller" workflow? I'm seeing ASP.NET still exists. But it's just "ASP.NET", no "MVC" or "Core" attached to the end. And they seem to recommend Blazor instead of C# which is something I only know the name of. Source: over 1 year ago
