   Pretty but SO limited

   There's no Find and Replace option. Even Apple Notes can do this. It is hard to navigate. Maybe it is just good for people who are project managers, but I need to manage my whole life.

• Some notes on local-first development

  I built Mochi [0] from the ground up to be local first. The architecture is built around pouchdb for the local database which syncs to and from a remote couchdb database. It's been a challenge to implement and in hindsight I wonder if it was even worth it. Unfortunately neither of these technologies are very widely used any more (if they ever were).   I also tried Agenda which looked like a great alternative to noteplan, but it didn’t really “click” for me. The app is really well made and polished, and the developer actively maintains it, but still the way it works doesn’t tick my boxes. Source: over 1 year ago
