It has an optional remote monitoring feature that shows the usual stats as a small bar under the active terminal window. It's a windows only application though. Yabai is basically a bspwm port for MacOS and it follows the rules of binary space partitioning. In fact, bspwm has a great diagram on its github readme that illustrates how it works.
